Painting is my happy place. When I'm creating, it's because I've found gratitude for life's gifts – whether it's a walk in the woods or a shared laugh with my daughter. I grab hold of things that remind me to live life to the fullest and surround myself with people who make life’s journey memorable. 

The magic happens when I get to share that work with other people who hold a deep sense of gratitude for life’s gifts. When this happens, I become connected to entire groups of people who love life as much as I do too. That is why I paint. 

About My Work 

I like to think of my paintings as visual adventures, inspired by life’s simple moments and my personal experience of being a mom to two girls. Color, organic shapes, and more identifiable doodles are layered into a dynamic visual journey that plays with the complexity of who we are and how we show up in the world.  My recent work relies on the symbolic, whimsical, and abstract. I find inspiration in life in general, the little things that bring me joy and the everyday simple, beautiful moments with my family.

The actual process of playing with layers, color, and shapes also inspires the final story of the work. The thoughtful pushing back and pulling forward are intentionally presented in all of my paintings. The paradox of life, hints of courage, hardship, and intuition all present themselves within the adventure that unfolds and reveals itself through my art.
